Set in KwaZulu-Natal’s Midlands, Weenen is home to mountains, valleys, rivers, deep-cut gorges, and the African savanna. There are many game viewing opportunities as well as scenic landscapes. The view of the Bushman’s River flowing through a deep gorge is spectacular.

Main attractions

  • Rich valley bushveld
  • Over 250 bird species – great for birding

Weenen Game Reserve is set in undulating thornveld that stretches to the blue-hilled horizon. Big skies, cauliflower clouds, balmy heat – even in winter. Little known and seldom visited, you could easily complete a game drive here without coming across another vehicle.
