This West Coast marvel is mostly a seasonal vlei, dry between March and June, as well as a stretch of marine reserve. The combination of land, vlei and marine environments creates a diversity of habitats for a flock of 183 different bird species. The two bird hides offer excellent views of the many birds that flock to the pan.
