Mokala Nature Reserve

Mokala is sheltered by dolerite hills that open to sandy plains across which you can drive for a look at the rare roan antelope. Enjoy a drive through the park’s indigenous vegetation connecting the Savanna and Nama-karoo Biomes. A birders delight, the Stofdam bird hide overlooks a dam where you can see the crimson breasted shrike or kingfishers in action.

Things are happening at Mokala, SANParks’ youngest national park. Think rare animals, gourmet meals in the bush, a campsite with private facilities and a romantic tree house.
