As a qualifier race for one of South Africa’s most popular ultra-marathons, the Comrades, the Marakele Marathon appeals to professional runners as well as adventure lovers of all ages. Choose between the full marathon (42km), half marathon (21km) or 10km. There’s even a fun run (5km) for the whole family. Enter now!
Hosted by SANParks in partnership with the SANParks Honorary Rangers and the Thabazimbi Marathon Club, the day promises a run in Big Five country that you won’t soon forget.
And with the majestic Waterberg Mountains as backdrop, you’ll be running through one of South Africa’s most beautiful landscapes.

- Ticket prices per person: 42km – R150; 21km – R120; 10km – R60; 5km – R30.
- Participants are limited to 300 runners per race. There is no limit on the 5km fun run.
