Four days in the wilderness, camping under the stars and meals next to an open fire. This year participants in the Wild Corridor MTB tour will not only experience 317km of natural beauty and bliss – each rider will also receive a free All Parks Individual Wild Card.

Taking place from 23 to 27 October 2018, the 2018 Wild Corridor is the perfect combination of adventure and fun. Traversing five biomes, including the Garden Route National Park, it’s a ride of a lifetime. Your support as a rider also aids in the conservation of these wild places. With space for only 30 riders, an exclusive spot at the Wild Corridor is hot property.

Great news is that your wilderness explorations don’t have to end post Wild Corridor – each entrant will receive an All Parks Individual Wild Card giving you one year’s unlimited access to more than 80 parks and reserves.

Daron Smit, event organiser, says 2018’s tour has a few exciting changes in store. “The new route is one day shorter and participants set off from Assegaaibosch Country Lodge and not Baviaanskloof. The second day takes riders off the main Baviaans road and en-route to the finish line, we ride through an indigenous forest – an element which was missing before.”

For the first time, the tour is also e-bike friendly. “This gives the ‘weekend warriors’ the opportunity to experience a stage tour that they would not normally dream of entering. It also opens up the opportunity for friends and spouses to enter and ride side-by-side with their partners. Remember, this is a ride and not a race,” says Daron.
