Not all is at peace in the Kruger National Park… Find out what happens in our photo sequence by Mario Fazekas.
We were driving along the Luvuvhu River when we spotted two impala at the river edge. We saw what looked like a log floating on the water but when we used our binoculars we saw that the floating wood was not a log but a crocodile…
The crocodile kept disappearing under the water and appearing in a different spot and then, after disappearing a final time, he launched out the water and grabbed at the nearest impala.
He would swim up to the edge of the bank, rear up and then swing the carcass down onto the sand.
He finally put his head back and swallowed his meal…
