Situated just 320km from Johannesburg, Golden Gate Highlands National Park’s mountain wonderland is a world apart. From 30 November to 2 December this idyllic setting plays host to some of South Africa’s most acclaimed musos for the much-anticipated Golden Classics 2018.
You can look forward to two exclusive open-air concerts – jazz and classical – with Golden Gate’s stunning scenery as backdrop. On the music menu? Jazz artists Lindiwe Maxolo and Nduduzo Makhathini will take to the stage on Friday 30 November, while baritone Aubrey Lodewyk and soprano Caroline Nkwe will be accompanied by the Gauteng Opera Company for Saturday 1 December’s showcase. For Saturday’s performance the Free State Symphony Orchestra will be under the baton of musical director Kutlwano Masote.

In the late afternoon shuttles depart for the open-air concert venue. The Golden Classics concert takes place under the stars, followed by time to mingle and enjoy refreshments.
