When you are standing at the top of the gorge watching the Orange River thunder down the 56m drop, you’ll know why the Khoi name for Augrabies is ‘Place of great noise’. Hugging the Namibian border and accessible from Upington, this magnificent park is a must-see for landscape lovers.
Ebony and Gorge trails are short, must-do walks that offer a different perspective of the park with its thundering falls and dramatic vistas. Easily accessible and well-signposted from the chalets and campsite, both will stretch your legs and soothe your soul.

Please, check the Ebony walk in Augrabies. It is not walkable, it has missing signs and you can get lost. We did a try in november and after a couple of hours we find a way back.
