Hosted by SANParks in partnership with the SANParks Honorary Rangers and the Thabazimbi Marathon Club, the day promises a run in Big Five country that you won’t soon forget.

And with the majestic Waterberg Mountains as backdrop, you’ll be running through one of South Africa’s most beautiful landscapes.

Louis Lemmer, chairperson of the SANParks Honorary Rangers, says Marakele is a spectacular setting for marathon runners and their families. “Where else can you not only tame the course, but the Big Five at the same time? The SANParks Honorary Rangers invite all South Africans to come and enjoy this beautiful park and show your support for conservation.”
