Summer isn’t here yet, but in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park things are already hotting up. You can imagine my excitement when we came across a pride of seven lions, all youngsters, doing what lions do best – very little at all.

On a game drive, in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, André and Annette Ligthelm came across an injured puff adder lying in the road. The scene soon changed with the arrival of two hungry goshawks…

Photographer Shane Saunders had some entertainment while sitting outside his chalet in the Nossob Rest Camp in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. A family of four yellow mongoose couldn't help their curiosity when it came to the rain-water pipes. It is quite amazing how they can enter the pipe and can turn around inside it and come out head first.

When we arrived in the Kgalagadi in the second week of May, the road to Leeuwdril was still closed for rebuilding after nearly a year.

I've always loved Nossob Camp in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and this trip has been no exception.

Watching the springbok pronk through the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is one of the great joys of my life.
