Snow blankets the landscape at Golden Gate Highlands National Park.

The Free State has been turned into a winter wonderland as snow falls in Golden Gate Highlands National Park. This is the heaviest snowfall the park has seen in six years. When these pictures were taken on the morning of 7 August, snow was still falling.

Snow covers the area in front of the Golden Gate Hotel as snowflakes continue to fall.

SANParks staff enjoy the snow. Wrap up warm, folks!

The surrounding landscape has been transformed by the snow.

free weed says:Nice clicks! I think you had attached some polarized filter on your camera for taking these pictures, since the stills are that much accurate and clear. Please provide some Photography tips in your next blog post.
