The Wild Card is the loyalty programme of South Africa’s premier national parks and nature reserves. Cardholders enjoy a year’s unlimited access to over 80 parks and reserves – a passport to exploring conservation areas in Southern Africa. The Wild Card Programme raises more than R92 million for conservation every year.
The Wild Card is a community of more than 187,295 paid-up members who are passionate about the environment and outdoors. Wild members represent South Africa’s most active park and reserve visitors. They travel great distances and spend time and money to feed their love for the natural world.
Each Wild channel fulfils a specific role and all work together to drive engagement around Wild members’ passion for conservation and the outdoors.
- Wild magazine is published quarterly and mailed to paid-up Wild Card members. This award-winning publication is an off-line connection to our user base who trust and refer back to the content. With a 68 091 audited circulation per issue (ABC July 2018 to June 2019) Wild is also the biggest circulating outdoor publication in South Africa.
- The Wild Card website is regularly updated with news, blogs, trip reports, wildlife pictures and events – the ultimate information centre. The website draws close to 39,786 unique visitors a month.
- The award-winning Wild e-newsletter is fun and to-the-point for members with wanderlust in their hearts. It is sent to 180 123+ opt-in subscribers (and growing).
- From dusk to dawn, Wild’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages keep members up to date with the natural world. Followers can share sightings, enter competitions and ask questions. We reach more than 29,037 individuals.
